Cleaning is available if you want it. Private outings — the Benagil caves, the beaches, Silves, the Lagoa cellars, Monchique — can be arranged, as can a private sunset boat trip.
What a private pool actually changes
A hotel pool empties at six and fills at ten. Here the water belongs to your week: an early swim before the heat, a long afternoon with nobody walking past your towel, a last dip under the stars. The jacuzzi sits beside it, and the hanging chairs stay where you left them. That is the whole difference between a pool you use and a pool you queue for.

The coast is a short drive: Portimão is 18 minutes and Albufeira 23. The beaches worth the trip — Marinha, Carvalho, João de Arens — are reached from there.
Can we be collected from the airport?
Yes. A return transfer from Faro airport is included, and your host meets you at the door with the keys ready.
